Cartor apprentice wins top award

Liam Knott, a service engineer, has won the Service Engineer Apprentice of the Year Award at the City of Wolverhampton College Apprenticeship Awards 2024.

UK security printing group, Wolverhampton-based Cartor Security Printers, has announced that Liam Knott, a third-year service engineer apprentice at the firm, has won the Service Engineer Apprentice of the Year Award at the City of Wolverhampton College Apprenticeship Awards 2024. The awards ceremony was held on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at the Hayward Suite, Molineux Stadium.

Knott’s apprenticeship journey has been marked by significant personal and technical growth. His responsible approach, consistent outstanding performance, and dedication to learning have truly made him stand out. Both his peers and supervisors have acknowledged Liam’s proactive approach and focus on delivering excellent customer service. His inquisitive nature and positive attitude have made him an exceptional apprentice.

He has also demonstrated a strong commitment to his college work since the beginning of his apprenticeship. Taking ownership of his training and development, he has been commended by his assessor for his willingness to share knowledge, improve his skills, maintain excellent timekeeping and demonstrate professional communication skills.

“It’s been a pleasure to see Liam grow personally and professionally over the past 3 years, winning this award is a great reflection of the commitment and effort Liam has demonstrated throughout his training and serves as an example to future apprentices,” says Andrew Brigham, Cartor’s managing director.
